The number one benefit of using Tovid is the fact that it's 100% FREE. It's open source which means anyone can work on it and anyone can use it. Users over at Ubuntu have been working on this for over 4 years so you know it can only be a quality product.
Something like Tovid can set you back $50 or more going to places such as Best Buy, but really can't offer you much more.
It's ease of use is also another attractive feature. As long as you use Linux regularly there should be no problem in navigating the directions.
There are a 101 other great reasons, but maybe you should just download it and find out yourself.
